What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Perfect happiness to me is doing what I love and creating a positive impact in the world and on people's lives, while also having the opportunity to travel the world to discover new places and really good food. The important thing is to have a curious mind that’s always eager to learn new things.

What person from history would you have dinner with?

I would love to have dinner with President Ronald Reagan. What stands out about him for me is his sense of humor, wit and wisdom which are all aspect I'd like to improve on personally

Who are your heroes in real life?

Definitely my dad. I’m always amazed by the fact that my dad built his business from scratch after the Asian Financial Crisis in 1998 and was able to put both my brothers and I through school and give us an overall comfortable life. I’m also blessed by the fact that he let’s us carve our own path, is an intellectual person who we can gave deep intellectual conversations with and overall a great role model for healthy masculinity and how to love our spouse and family well

What is your most treasured possession?

My relationships with my loved ones which are ultimately more valuable than any physical gift or item I could own

What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is letting down the people important to me. I try my best to be dependable & reliable, and to ensure that whatever I’m doing is creating a positive impact to whatever causes, organizations or people I’m involved with.

Which living person do you most admire?

I would have to say Satya Nadella for this one. Microsoft in my opinion probably has the most amazing transformation story out of all the big tech companies out there. When he became CEO in 2014, Nadella changed the company’s culture to being more open, humble and collaborative and he also drove many of the changes that helped change Microsoft into a modern innovative tech company. His whole approach with OpenAI is also an amazing tale, and so it's no wonder he won CNN’s CEO of the Year award in 2023

Where or who do you get your energy from?

I get energy from spending time with the people I love - my significant other, family & friends

How do you decide what to celebrate?

Try to do celebrations for small key wins where we have done our best. The important thing is we have done our best effort and improved than who we were yesterday.

What do you look for when interviewing someone for a job?

Someone who is self-aware, and can communicate about his/herself well. Also someone with a curious mind who wants to learn new things

What is your current state of mind?

I need to be focused and learn how to prioritise. Its a busy season of life for me as I'm writing this, juggling work and many other commitments. Thankfully, I'm the type that becomes instinctively more disciplined when I have alot of things going on

What injustice do you deplore?

I deplore company executives using their power and money to abuse and mistreat younger employees. The unfortunate reality is that money still holds alot of power and many bad people still use it to get away with heinous crimes

Which talent would you most like to have?

I would want the talent to think and understand things extremely fast, like in the movie Limitless.

How would you like to be remembered?

Loyal, faithful and caring to others and ideally having made a significant impact in 1 person's life

What food do you turn to for comfort? And why?

Noodles, specifically the pork noodles found in Indonesia. I think they taste amazing and its been a ritual of mine to have it once a week since I was young so it also has significant nostalgia

What is your favourite restaurant?

Thong Smith in Bangkok, Thailand which serves beef boat noodles, which tasted amazing and I ended up going there twice on a four-day trip

If you were to be stuck on a desert island, what music, book, and item would you take?

I'd get by with an album with from the band Honne - I find that the songs are relaxing and helps give me peace of mind as I listen

What advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur?

Focus on one thing you're very passionate about and get your first customer in that space, don't try to do too many things at once especially in the beginning
